Stamos graduated with distinction from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) in 2011.

Following graduation he completed his military service as a veterinary surgeon in the Hellenic Army and briefly worked in mixed practice in Greece.

He has an MSc with distinction from the University of Liverpool and a Post Graduate Certificate with distinction from the University of Nottingham where he also undertook a rotating small animal internship.

After a brief spell in private practice in the UK, he is an ACZM Resident at the Clinic for Zoo Animals, Exotic Pets and Wildlife at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.

As a student Stamos actively volunteered at the Attica Zoological Park and the Hellenic Wildlife Hospital in Greece and following graduation he was further educated at Barcelona Zoo during a three-month externship.

He is particularly proud of having established the Poetry Club of the Veterinary Faculty in Zurich.
